Only 100 harvests left!

This article has been written by Elaine Watson for Quantock Eco as a result of the chilling remark with which Dr Lynne Boddy, Professor of Microbial Biology at Cardiff University ended her talk on the “Hidden Kingdom of the Soil”.  Having described how miles of fungal mycelium link plants and trees in a network essential for life, she warned that if we continue with current methods of farming, we have “only 100 harvests left”!
